The Compix Media NewsScroll / RSS software provides the opportunity for multiple crawls, logos and more all with just a single channel. If you want any type of crawl or logo inserter, NewsScroll / RSS is the software you need. This software package allows you to simultaneously display the following:
2x Independent crawls that can be updated manually or automatically from RSS feeds
2x Static or animated logos
Real-time clock
Updateable Weather Box (can be used for other purposes as well)
Interchangeable Ratings Logo (static only)
Instant text update field (for last minute additions)
You can adjust and save the positioning of each item to any portion of your video output screen. In addition, you are able to save the location and individual attributes of each item for instant retrieval.
All information can be updated and played remotely through Microsoft WindowsXP Remote Connection (IP address of Compix system required), or scheduled to play through the free Scheduler feature.
In addition to crawling your text, you are now able to display information one at a time in your lower third space. The feature is called Rollup Mode. After the prescribed sequence times out, it transitions automatically to the next sequence. This can happen to any one crawl, or both simultaneously.
In addition to the 2x independent crawls watching an RSS feed, they can also watch a text file (txt) for upcoming information. Once the text file is saved, it automatically updates on the next loop cycle. The Weather Box can watch a text file as well for updated information.
The RSS Feature within NewsScroll / RSS couldn't be any easier. Simply copy & paste your RSS feeds into the appropriate space within the primary and secondary scroll fields, set a Refresh Rate and NewsScroll will load all information for display. If you set the Refresh Rate for 5min, NewsScroll / RSS will reload all data from the RSS Feed accordingly.

NOTE:NewsScroll 3.0 requires GenCG 4.6 to create template files. Also, Compix systems with Win98 installed as default may not run GenCG 4.6 or NewsScroll 3.0. With the LCG Series, ToGo Family, or any other single channel Compix System, you will NOT be able to run NewsScroll and GenCG simultaneously. A Dual Channel (DC) Upgrade Kit is needed.
