If you already have a high quality, high capacity personal computer, then you can add a Compix Media board and software kit for a complete character generator.

Compix Media Video CG Digital (SDI) Overlay board & software kit provides broadcast quality SDI input and output connections. The SDI input and output conform to SMPTE 259M standards (10bit 4:2:2 SDI). The Compix Media Video CG Digital (SDI) Overlay board & software kit is available to work in either NTSC or PAL television standards. The SDI overlay board & software kit can use the multilingual capability available through the MS windows operating system. It can also be well suited for bulletin board applications as well as digital signage requirements.

The Compix Media SDI Overlay board & software kit provides broadcast quality ‘live on-air’ capabilities and operational logic. It allows users to instantly insert characters over a live video feed. The VideoCG Digital (SDI) Overlay can also be used in a post production capacity, inserting characters over edited video streams. With a built-in downstream linear alpha keyer and 256 transparency levels; the Video CG Digital (SDI) Overlay board and software kit can be inserted into both systems with and without switchers. Titles can be snapped instantly on to a video feed, even without an expensive video switcher.

VideoCG SDI Output Card

Compix Media SDI Add-on output daughter card provides Serial Digital Interface output for Plus and Ultimate board & software kits. It is fully compatible with the SMPTE 259M Serial Digital Standard (Television - 10-Bit 4:2:2 Component and 4fsc Composite Digital Signals - Serial Digital Interface). The SDI card provides two digital video outputs and one digital key output.
